Casual Everyday Christmas Tablescape
Did you see my Red and White Snowflake Christmas tree? It’s full and overflowing with lots of ornaments. It’s the total opposite of my dining table. My casual everyday Christmas table is very minimal and doesn’t have extra utensils, salad plates, bowls, extra cups, or any formal settings.
Why so minimal? Well, growing up my family never had formal dinners. Our family gatherings were always very casual and done potluck style. In fact, we didn’t even sit at a table! At gatherings, everyone would sit together in a large room. The grown ups would sit on chairs and the kids would sit on the floor around folding tables. Really, a formal tablescape is sort if a foreign thing for me, so I keep my casual everyday Christmas tablescape super simple.
For my simple casual everyday Christmas tablescape, I chose a red tablecloth for color and added silver snowflake chargers and 2016 Target holiday plates and cups. Since I still haven’t found the perfect table runner, I used ribbon to outline a runner. The centerpiece is a gingerbread table wreath that only takes 15 minutes to make.
Casual Everyday Christmas Tablescape - no fuss, just the basics. Here’s a close-up of the setting. The napkins are tied with glitter ribbon and mini pine cones. If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t use glitter ribbon as bits of glitter were flaking off onto the napkin…grr.
And there you have it, my casual everyday Christmas tablescape. For more holiday tablescape inspiration, check out the other links below.

I love this, I’m so not a formal person!
This is such a whimsical tablescape! I love it, especially that gumball machine centerpiece. That is absolutely awesome!
There’s nothing everyday about that! Looks like a wonderful party.
