Red and White Snowflake Christmas Tree
When it comes to Christmas decorating, I’m pretty traditional. My colors always revolve around red, gold, and white. The past few years, our tree was red and gold and this year I used existing ornaments to change things up to create a red and white tree.
As you can see, I’m the total opposite of the rustic or the simplistic look when it comes to our Christmas tree. I like to fill my tree up till it’s almost bursting and exploding with ornaments.
Here’s a closeup of some of the snowflakes, berry twigs, ribbons, and other decorations hanging on the snowflake Christmas tree. It’s a mix of inexpensive dollar store, craft store, and vintage ornaments.
Since I wanted to create the look of snow on the tree, I used fiberfill on the branches. It’s my trick to make the tree look nice and frosty. Oh, and do you see those gift tags on the presents? Those are my mystery gift tags that drive the kids nuts. Only I know which tag goes to which child, which helps prevent them from guessing what’s inside the boxes.
Here is what the snowflake Christmas tree looks like at night. The fiberfill not only adds to the tree’s frosty look, it makes it really ‘glow’ at night.
I hope you enjoyed my red and white snowflake Christmas tree. For more Christmas tree inspiration, scroll down to check out all the other Christmas trees too!

Thanks so much Jeanne. I like it too, but my kids still insist that it needs to have gold in it…lol.
The red is very very nice on your tree, its blend together and has a softer look with the lights on that I really like. Beautiful tree.

Oh, I love this! This reminds me of one I made one year, with the red and plaid. I will have to show this to my mom she has a thing for poinsettias on her tree. She will love it! I need those owls girl!
Kim
I’m dying to do a plaid tree, but my kids are stuck on red and gold…grr. I love poinsettias too and will stick them everywhere during the holidays 🙂 BTW – the owls were from the dollar store a few years back.
I love trees that are completely covered in ornaments! I think your tree is my favorite in the whole hop! Way to go!
Thank you so much Melissa. There are so many beautiful tress on the blog, so I’m so happy you like mine.
