A 30-minute meal that can be made with or without meat. Quick Hearty Chili Bowl Recipe

I have a few staple meals that I like to make at least once a month and chili is one of those meals. It’s easy to make and tends to satisfy my hungry teens. So pinto beans, black beans, and kidney beans are pretty much a staple in my pantry.

S&W Beans Cans

Since beans are a staple in my pantry, I was excited to receive a huge box full of S&W Beans with a few new varieties I haven’t tried yet. The box contained my pantry staples along with Organic Black Beans, Organic Garbanzo Beans, White Beans, White Chili Beans, Black Chili Beans, Chili Beans, Cannellini Beans, and Garbanzo beans with 50% less sodium.

My beans of choice have always been S&W Beans. I’ve tried other bean brands, but always come back to S&W Beans. Nobody does beans better. For 120 years, S&W Beans has been delivering premium quality beans. They have the highest standards in the industry and carefully grade their beans for color, cracks, consistency, and coat. Because beans that look good, taste good too. So I’m in bean heaven!

The two beans that I immediately wanted to try were the S&W Chili Beans and Black Chili Beans. You see, normally, my chili recipe takes 2-3 hours for the flavors to develop (yeah, it takes awhile). But I don’t always have that kind of time to prepare dinner, so making chili with the S&W Chili Beans that are already prepared and flavored with chili peppers, garlic, onions, and zesty tomato sauce was intriguing. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if flavored canned beans would be any good, but all I can say is, “Wow!”. The beans looked great, tasted great, and using them cut my cook time from 3 hours down to 30 minutes!

I can’t believe how simple and quick I can make chili now! All I need to do is brown ground beef, sausage, and onions. Then, add in tomato sauce, a can of S&W Chili Beans, a can of S&W Black Chili Beans, a bit of chili powder, and salt to taste. That’s it! No more 2-3 hour chili cook times because S&W has done all the hard work for me.

But what makes this 30-minute Quick-n-Hearty Chili Bowl Recipe even better? I can omit the meat in this recipe for a meatless meal that provides iron, calorie for calorie the same as beef, and enough protein to still satisfy the meat eaters in the family!
