Step 1. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to make removing the fudge easier. Set aside. Place the salted caramel melts and green melts in separate bowls.

Add condensed milk to the salted caramel melts.

Step 2. Pour one can of the sweetened condensed milk over the top of the caramel melts.

Add green candy flavoring to condensed milk. Mix into green candy melts.

Step 3. Place the green apple candy flavoring in the second can of sweetened condensed milk and stir well before pouring over the top of the green candy melts.

Step 4. Separately microwave each bowl for 2 ½ minutes or until the mixture turns smooth when stirred. Stop every minute to stir the mixture to prevent burning. Note: It may take slightly less or more time depending on your microwave power.

Swirl together the salted caramel and green apple mixtures.

Step 5. Alternating between the two bowls, pour the melted mixtures into the parchment lined pan. Alternate pouring in the melted candy at random to make the swirls. Note: For fine swirls, take a skewer or buttery knife and swirl it through the mixture. Make sure to note over swirl as you want there to be defined swirls of each mix.

Step 6. Place in the pan in the fridge for 3-4 hours or until fully set. Tip: Do not move the pan around as it can cause ripples on the top of the fudge. Remove the set fudge from the pan by the parchment paper and cut into 1-inch pieces. Enjoy!

How to Store Caramel Apple Fudge

Contertop Storage

This fudge will keep at normal room temperature for about 7 days in an airtight container that is kept in a cool, dry place. Note: If it is hot and humid, it may reduce the keep time of the fudge.

Refrigerator Storage

Fudge can also be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 weeks. This is the best option as it can be kept longer and doesn’t require any defrosting.

Freezer Storage

For freezing, wrap the entire block or the individual pieces with plastic wrap to prevent ice crystals and freezer burn. Then, wrap with foil to further reduce freezer burn. Lastly, place the fudge into an airtight bag, pushing out as much air as possible. The fudge should keep up to 2-3 months. To thaw, remove the bag and place into the refrigerator for about 3 hours.

That’s it! Super easy and delicious! Now you can tell your friends that you made your own homemade caramel apple fudge! 🙂
