I have a problem. A moss and twine problem. Ever since last Easter when I made a Moss Covered Easter Bunny, I’ve been addicted to all things moss and twine. So this year, I decided to add to my growing collection of twine and moss things by creating Moss & Twine Easter Eggs.
Moss & Twine Easter Eggs
Supplies:
- Plastic Easter eggs or paper mache eggs
- Glue gun/glue sticks
- Twine
- Moss mat
- Scissors
- Felt pen
Directions:
Step 1 – Add a dab of glue to one end of the Easter egg and attach the twine.
Step 2 – Add more glue and continue to add twine in a circular motion until the entire egg is covered in twine.

Step 3 – This is where you can use your imagination and cut out whatever shape you want to decorate your egg. I made a polka dot egg and used the glue stick and a felt pen to create circles on the back of the moss mat. For the giant ‘HOP’, just trace out letters onto the moss and glue on the eggs. Just make sure to reverse the ‘p’.
Step 4 – Cut out the circles.
Step 5 – Randomly glue the cut-out moss dots to the twine egg.
Step 6 – Display!

Una grande idea! Non avrei pensato di utilizzare il muschio per le decorazioni delle uova e per la Pasqua.
Grazie per la tua partecipazione al mio Linky Party Buona Pasqua.

I love these eggs! The combination of twine and moss is so cute!
Thanks Tammy. I like the I get to use two of my favorite things in one craft.
Cute idea! I was just thinking of doing a moss project but I worried the moss wouldn’t last or it would loose color. I see that your bunny from last year has held up very well so I think I am going to go for it!
Hi Rachel. The bunny did great. I stored it in a plastic bag and the color/moss held up great.

What a cute idea! I was just in Hobby Lobby looking at moss for a project, I may go back and get more now! Thank you for sharing.
