3-Ingredient Chicken WingsThe weather is warming up, the fruit trees are blooming, and it’s time to start firing up the grill again. Yippee! I love grilling outdoors because it reminds me of family picnics at the beach. Everyone would bring a dish to share and the uncles would cook on the hibachi grill – good times and food! Now that we live in California, we aren’t able to attend the family parties in Hawaii – boo! But I can create some of the food, like this delicious chicken using an easy to make 3-Ingredient Chicken Wings marinade.

3-Ingredient Chicken Wings Marinade

3-Ingredient Chicken Wings marinade

This marinade is so simple. All you need to do is add soy sauce, brown sugar, and Italian dressing into a large bowl. Mix and reserve 1/2 cup for later. Add the chicken wingettes, cover, and place in the refrigerator for a minimum of 24 hours. You can marinate the chicken longer if you are preparing for a party, but use a low sodium soy sauce if marinating longer than 24hours/overnight.

Grilling the Chicken Wings

Once the wings have been in the marinade for at least 24 hours, it’s time to fire up the grill! I set the grill on medium-high and oil the grill grates so the chicken won’t stick. When all of the chicken wings are on the grill, cover the grill, reduce the heat to medium, and let the chicken cook for 25 – 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Make sure to flip the wings and baste with the reserved marinade a few times during grilling process. During the last 5 minutes, you can open the grill to keep an eye on the wings.
