Game Day Boomchickpop Popcorn Bar

I have the big game day on the brain. Last week, I shared game day appetizers and a cute football cupcake. Today, I want to share a great game day snack that everyone will enjoy, is a healthier snack alternative, requires almost no prep, and will #BringtheBOOM – Game Day BOOMCHICKAPOP Popcorn Bar!

If you’re planning a big game day party or something just for the family, you need to create a popcorn bar. Having a popcorn bar can be a lifesaver when guests arrive early or when I have ‘helpers’ in the kitchen that eat more food than help (I’m talking to you kids and hubby) because I can point them to the popcorn bar for a quick snack before, during, and after the game. Plus, I don’t have to worry about different dietary needs or tastes because BOOMCHICKAPOP is verified non-GMO, whole grain, gluten free, cholesterol free, and comes in a variety of flavors – Sweet & Salty Kettle Corn, Sea Salt, Lightly Sweet, White Cheddar, and more. All I have to do to create an awesome popcorn bar is pop open a few bags of BOOMCHICKAPOP and a few mix-ins!

How to Create a Popcorn Bar

Supplies:

  • large bowls
  • small bowls or paper bags
  • scoop/cup

Ingredients:
BOOMCHICKAPOP – variety of flavors
5 or more of your favorite mix-ins (below are some of my mix-ins)

  • chopped dried fruit – papaya, mango, pineapple
  • trial mix with yogurt covered raisins
  • smoked nuts
  • regular peanuts
  • honey mustard pretzels
  • regular pretzels
  • chocolate covered raisins

Creating a popcorn bar is really simple. All you need to do is head down to your local grocery store and pick-up a few flavors of BOOMCHICKAPOP and all of your favorite mix-ins. And while you’re there, don’t forget to pick-up bowls or paper bags for serving the popcorn.

BOOMCHICKAPOP Popcorn and mix-ins

I used large bowls for the BOOMCHICKAPOP popcorn and smaller bowls for the mix-ins, which I literally just poured out of the bags. The only item I had to prep was chopping the dried fruit. Then, I labeled each item with a wooden chalkboard sign, but you can use paper signs or whatever you desire. If you want to simplify the process, keep the popcorn and mix-ins in their bags and place them on the popcorn bar as-is.

I also added rolled down paper bags as my serving container for the popcorn and the bar was ready to go!

Boomchickapop trail mix popcorn

My mix contained the BOOMCHICKAPOP Sea Salt Popcorn, chocolate raisins, trail mix, and chopped dried fruit. The salty popcorn with the sweet fruit and chocolate raisins was a satisfying mix of flavors that was perfect for me.

Compared to mine, my husband’s mix (left) was a little more simple. He used the BOOMCHICKAPOP Sweet & Salty popcorn with honey mustard pretzels, peanuts, and chocolate raisins.
