There’s no tutorial for this wreath because it’s super simple to make. I literally just added colorful lights, garland of flowers, and faux palm leaves onto a pre-lit wreath. I thought about adding more to it, but it sits right next to our decked out tree and thought it would be overload.
Supplies used:
- c9 colorful blubs – weave through the wreath
- 24″ or 30″ pre-lit wreath – use a clear bulb pre-lit wreath for more light dimension
- faux palm garland – run through the center of the wreath and fluff out the leaves
- bright lei garland – run through the center of the wreath. Since I cut this, I used hot glue to seal the end to prevent the flowers from falling off.

Geez, Erlene, your tropical vibe is amazing. I’m trying to get my South Carolina Lowcountry Coastal vibe going, but I still have lots of traditional items as well.
Thanks Kristie. It’s my first bright tropical tree. I love coastal too, so I’m curious about your tree.
I love the wreath! I love the color you added to it, and also the palm leaves!
Thank you. The palm leaves definitely make it feel more tropical.
So pretty and colorful, I love your tropical theme for Christmas.

Thanks Gail. It was fun and it kind of reminds me of home (Hawaii).
You come up with the cutest tropical ideas, Erlene. Love your bright and colorful wreath and your beach ball tree is just too stink’n cute too!
Thanks Marie. I don’t normally use colored lights, so this year was a nice change.
What a lovely idea to make a tropical Christmas wreath! Just yesterday I showed a friend your cocktail ornaments and she loved it!
Thanks for sharing. They’re super easy to make and an inexpensive DIY.
I love your tropical wreath and all your tropical Christmas decor. My favorite time of the year is when my husband and I visit the Caribbean every year so this wreath reminds me of all the fun times. Love it!
