Dollar Store Waterless Snow Globe - Christmas Kid Activity
How to make waterless snow globes. Fun activity to do with the kids for the holidays. Easy to customize using any type of figurines.
Materials
- Plastic snow globe
- Bag faux foam ball snow
- Bag snow glitter flakes
- Ribbon - choose your own color
- Optional - raffia
Decor for Inside of the Snow Globe
- Mini Christmas trees
- Various mini figurines
- Optional - Items to decorate the Christmas tree. Mini pom poms, mini Christmas lights, sequins, beads, etc...
Tools
- Hot glue gun/glue sticks
Instructions
Open up the snow globe. Clean it out if needed. 
Glue the figurine items to the snow globe insert. Make sure to center the tallest item in the center and shorter items to the sides. *Small children may need help using the glue gun. Regular craft glue can be used, but it will take time to dry. 
Add a bit of faux snow and glitter flakes into the snow globe.
With the snowglobe upside down, insert the figurines into it. Make sure the snow globe seams are to the side. Twist on the cap cover and flip over. Shake to settle all the snow to the bottom.
Optional - Glue ribbon onto the cap or leave plain. I glued glitter ribbon and layered raffia on top. *Again, small children may need help using a hot glue gun or opt to use glue dots.
Notes
- I used a hot glue gun and small children will need help if using a glue gun. Otherwise, use regular craft glue, but keep in mind there is dry time that will need to be added to the project.
- Mini figurines and trees can be found in most craft stores. Use coupons to get it at a discount. All other supplies can be purchased at the dollar store, which I recommend to keep cost down.
