It has been three months since I started using Vegamour’s haircare products and I am excited to share my experience and results with you. As someone who has struggled with thinning and graying hair, finding products that actually delivers on its promises is always a priority for me. So let’s get to my honest Vegamour Haircare Review!

What is Vegamour?

To be honest, I never heard of Vegamour before being contacted to try some of their haircare products. I ultimately decided to give them a try because according to their site, Vegamour takes a holistic and scientific approach to create hair wellness products. Unlike products that rely on chemicals, Vegamour prioritizes the use of clinically tested, plant-based (vegan) ingredients that work synergistically to promote naturally healthy and beautiful hair.

Who Is Vegamour Haircare For?

Vegamour haircare products cater to individuals dealing with thinning, weak, dull, or graying hair, who desire clean and natural ingredients in their haircare routine. They use the latest biomolecular technology to ensure every plant-based ingredient is optimized for maximum efficiency to provide the best haircare products that won’t hurt your body or our environment.

Vegamour has four main collections:

• GRO (I was gifted this line)
  Thicker, fuller looking hair with plant-based ingredients that are formulated to benefit the hair. For example, plant derived Karmatin™ that creates a sheath around the hair to create a glass-like shine. It outperforms silicone, which does not bond with the hair, so hair continues to improve over time.
•  GRO+ Advanced
  Signature GRO line enhanced with hemp
•  HYDR-8
  Hydrate, smooth, and improves dry, damaged hair.
•  GRO Ageless (I was gifted this line)
  Delays and controls grays. Contains Peptides and Glycoproteins to promote shine and hair color in new growth. Also contains a Vitamin Blend (B3, B5, B6, E) to help reduce the appearance of graying hair.

Vegamour Products Tested

Vegamour was kind enough to gift me a box of several haircare products to try. Below is a list of everything that was sent and used for this 3 month review.

• GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner Kit – Designed for individuals experiencing thinning hair, this dynamic daily duo contains potent phytoactives and Karmatin™, a vegan alternative to keratin. This duo sets the foundation for stronger, healthier, and shinier hair. Set has a pleasant light floral smell.
• GRO Hair Serum (three pack) – Reduces signs of shedding and fallout, while leaving the hair looking thicker and fuller. This ono-greasy formula should be used daily on a wet or dry scalp to support an optimal scalp environment for stronger hair. Key ingredients – Tumeric (thicken hair), Caffine (stimulate scalp), Mung bean and Red Clover Blend (nourish scalp), and Biotin (strengthen hair). No real scent.
• HYDR-8 Deep Moisture Repair Mask – Ultra nourishing hair mask to strengthen and repair hair. Hydrates and helps smooth frizz. Use 1-2 times weekly. Mask has a similar light floral scent like the shampoo and conditioner.
• HYDR-8 Leave-In Conditioner – An all-in-one leave-in conditioner that offers 72 hours of hydration and shields hair from heat up to 450°F. Free of silicones, it helps to detangle and tame frizz, leaving hair soft and silky. Enhanced with Karmatin™, it helps strengthen and revitalize the appearance of dry, damaged hair. Can be used on wet and dry hair. Has a light floral scent.
• HYDR-8 Weightless Repair Oil – A repair oil to help add shine and gloss, while strengthening the hair. Also helps to seal split-ends and reduces frizz. Can be used on damp and dry hair. Focus the application on the mid and ends of hair. Oil has a light floral scent.
• GRO AGELESS Gray Delay™ Hair Supplement – Daily hair supplement crafted to maintain the natural pigment of hair and delay the onset of grays. It contains a unique blend of adaptogens and minerals that work to support healthy roots, enhance shine, and increase hair thickness, all while preserving your natural color.thickness.

Monthly Vegamour Haircare Review & Progress

Note: Prior to starting the Vegamour Haircare, I was using a rice bar shampoo and conditioner, Olaplex 7 Bonding Oil, and Olaplex 6.

Month 1 – Vegamour Haircare Review

In order to assess the effectiveness of Vegamour Haircare products, I began with a fresh haircut. The image above displays the condition of my hair prior to using any Vegamour products. As evident, my hair appears dry, a bit dull, and has a significant amount of ‘dirty’ gray. Additionally, although not visually apparent, I have noticeable hair thinning and daily hair shedding.

During this initial month, my haircare routine consisted of the following Vegamour products:

GRO AGELESS Gray Delay™ Hair Supplement: I took it twice a day.
GRO Hair Serum and GRO Ageless Anti-Gray Serum: I applied one dropper full daily to my scalp.
GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner: I used them every other day, resulting in approximately 16 applications throughout the month.
HYDR 8 Leave-in Conditioner and Weightless Repair Oil: I applied them every other day after washing my hair.
HYDR 8 Deep Moisture Mask: I used it 3-4 times during each month of this Vegamour Haircare Review trail.

By the end of the initial month, there was no notable change in the amount of hair shedding or color variation. However, I did observe that my hair felt smoother and showed noticeable growth. Of course, according to Vegamour, consistency is key, and they state that it can take up to 2 months of continued product use before seeing any results.

Month 2 – Vegamour Haircare Review

During the middle of the second month, I doubled the amount of GRO Hair Serum and GRO Ageless Anti-Graying Serum to two droppers of each. I increased the amount because I was still experiencing a notable amount of daily hair fallout. Though the increased application of serums appeared to diminish the hair fallout and enhance the shine of my gray hairs, it did not visibly reduce the presence of gray hair growth.

Note: At the end of the second month, I was out of the Vegamour GRO AGELESS Gray Delay™ Hair Supplements. Also, other than the increase in the serum application, there was no change in the use of the remaining Vegamour products during this month.

Month 3 – Vegamour Haircare Review

At the midpoint of the third month, there was a noticeable improvement in the texture and feel of my hair. My hair was smoother, less frizzy, and had an overall healthier appearance.

Even though my hair felt healthier and exhibited increased growth, I did not notice any decrease in the visibility of gray hairs. Upon close examination of the top of my head, there was a mix of gray and black hair growth, with no discernible change in the overall presence of gray hairs.

Final Thoughts – 3-Month Vegamour Haircare Review

Here, I’m going to give my final thoughts and answer questions that come to mind when I consider buying haircare products. Hopefully, this will help you decide if Vegamour Haircare is something you would like to try.

Did I see a change in my hair after 3-months?

Well, the answer is YES and NO. Yes, I had healthier and a much smoother, frizz free head of hair. Yes, my hair appeared shinier, even my gray hairs appeared to be a brighter gray (not yellowish). Yes, after increasing the use of the serum, I saw a slight improvement in hair fallout. No, I did not see less gray hair growth or a change in new hair growth color. That being said, I am 50+ years old, so grays are normal. The GRO Ageless Serum may work better for those that are younger with premature grays caused by stress or other events.

How long do the products last?

The duration of product usage will vary depending on factors such as hair length, thickness, the amount used, and frequency of use. In my case, with mid-length thinning hair, both the shampoo and conditioner lasted for 3 months with every other day washing (sometimes with a 2-day gap between washes in the last month). I still have a sufficient amount of the hair mask for 2-3 more deep conditioning treatments. Since I used the HYDR 8 Weightless Repair Oil and Leave-in Conditioner spray every other day, I anticipate a few more months of product usage. The two bottles of GRO AGELESS Gray Delay™ Hair Supplement lasted for 2 months, meaning one bottle per month. As for the GRO Hair Serum and GRO Ageless Anti-Gray Serum, I started running low in the third month due to increased application on my scalp. However, if used as directed, each bottle should last for a month of daily use.

Are the any Pros and Cons?

Pros:

• GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner come in easy to squeeze tubes that sit upside down, so the product is always easily dispensed.
• The shampoo and conditioner have a light fresh floral smell that is scrumptious! Even my daughter loved it.
• Shampoo suds up nicely and leaves hair silky, unlike my shampoo bars that have a drying effect on my hair.
• Both the HYDR 8 Deep Moisture Repair Mask and GRO Revitalizing Conditioner easily glides on to moisturize the hair.
• Hair shedding did decrease when I used two droppers of the GRO Hair Serum towards the middle of month 2.
• I noticed that my hair looked its absolute best when I applied the HYDR 8 Leave-in Conditioner to wet hair before styling. As a finishing touch, I used the Weightless Repair Oil on dry hair. This combination resulted in incredibly smooth and shiny hair.
• My overall hair health improved with consistent use after the second month.

Cons:

• The consistency of the HYDR 8 Deep Moisture Repair Mask is quite thick, hence it is packaged in a tub container. I found it inconvenient to scoop it out with wet hands during shower usage. I almost wish it was available in squeeze tubes similar to the shampoo and conditioner, with a larger dispensing hole.
• It takes at least 2-3 months to see a difference. If you are impatient or not consistently using the product, it may take longer to see results.
• The HYDR 8 Leave-In Conditioner can weigh hair down if too much is used.
• The cost of Vegamour Haircare can be a barrier for some. Trying out Vegamour Haircare products requires a significant initial investment. For instance, during limited sales, the GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner set is priced at $86. The duration of the product may range from 3 to 4 months, depending on the frequency and amount used.
• The Vegamour Ageless line may not be effective for individuals experiencing natural ‘old age’ graying. However, it could potentially work for those with premature graying. It is advisable to consult with your doctor to identify any underlying causes and to incorporate these haircare products alongside medical advice.

What were my favorite Vegamour products?

My favorite Vegamour products were the GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner. I absolutely love the smell, the way the shampoo lathers, and the moisture both products gave to my hair.

Would I recommend Vegamour Haircare Products?
