Several months ago, I reivewed the standard Vegamour haircare line. Today, I’m going to review the Vegamour GRO+ Advanced Lined made specifically for thinning hair.

Vegamour Gro+ Advanced Haircare Review for thinning hair.

If you aren’t familiar with Vegamour, you can read more about the products in my 3-month Vegamour Haircare Review. This Vegamour GRO+ Advanced line was co-developed by a dermatologist, specifically designed to combat hair shedding and enhance hair density. According to Vegamour’s 120 day clinical studies, 93% noticed better hair density and up to 87% had less hair shedding. Keep reading to find out my results and if it’s worth trying!

Hair Thinning

If you are encountering hair loss, it is advisable to consult with your physician to identify the underlying cause. The issue may stem from stress, menopause, hormonal imbalance, medical conditions, genetic predisposition, the use of certain hair products, or a combination of these elements.

For me personally, I have been dealing with thinning hair for quite some time. Not only do I have diabetes, which can lead to some hair loss, I also have a family predisposition to hereditary hair loss.

Vegamour GRO+ Products Tested

Vegamour GRO+ Advanced Shampoo, Conditioner, and Serum.

GRO+ Advanced Balancing Shampoo

This is a skincare-inspired scalp and hair shampoo. It is made with 3 key ingredients: GROActive+ Complex (an AI-discovered blend of plant actives to reduce shedding), Spanish Microalgae (prebiotic superfood to hydrate and balance the scalp), and Niacinamide (protect from oxidative stress). This shampoo is meant to lightly exfoliates, cleanse, and remove buildup without stripping strands.

GRO+ Advanced Balancing Conditioner

For hydrating and nourishing the scalp from the root up. Also helps to provide instant volume to thinning hair. Key ingredients: GROActive+ Complex, Microalgae, and Marula Oil (smooths and hydrates).

GRO+ Advanced Hair Serum

A serum to visibly improve hair density and reduce shedding. It is meant to hydrate and support the scalp skin barrier. Key ingredients: GROActive+ Complex, Microalgae, and Plant Stem Cells (proteins that help anchor hair roots).

Vegamour GRO+ Advanced Haircare Review

During this 3-month review (September-November), my haircare routine consisted of the following Vegamour products:

GRO+ Advanced Balancing Shampoo: Used every other day. Sometimes every 2 days.
GRO+ Advanced Balancing Conditioner: Used the same as the shampoo.
GRO+ Advanced Serum: I used one dropper daily, per directions.

Vegamour GRO+ Advanced Hair at the beginning of the review.

This image is of my hair a few weeks prior to starting Vegamour GRO+ Advanced line and right after I stopped using the Vegamour GRO Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner.

During this time, my hair felt healthy and looked much denser. I had slightly less fall out, but no slow down in my greying hair while using the GRO line.

This image is of my hair at the end of the 3-month review period. For some reason, I had A LOT more hair shedding when using the Vegamour GRO+ Advanced line than when I was using the Vegamour GRO Essentials line. I found it confusing because this product line is intended specifically to address hair shedding, so I’m not sure why this happened.

I tried to contact Vegamour to discuss my concerns, but unfortunately, I did not receive a response. I was particularly interested in understanding whether using the dermaroller to apply the serum could be beneficial, but regrettably, my inquiry went unanswered.

Note: During this time I had a family health emergency, which was very stressful and could have contributed to more hair loss.

Vegamour GRO+ Advanced Finally Thoughts Overall

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the Vegamour GRO+ Advanced line in addressing hair shedding. Despite numerous positive reviews on the website, for me, this product line did not yield the desired results. Although I observed new hair growth and my existing hair appears healthy, I experienced a notable increase in shedding compared to when using the regular GRO line. Additionally, my attempt to seek clarification regarding this issue went unaddressed, which was quite disappointing. For addressing my thinning hair, the NIOXIN product line proved to be more effective, even though it is not plant-based like Vegamour.

If you are interested in trying Vegamour, I suggest considering the Vegamour GRO line, which uses plant-based products to promote healthier hair. This option requires an initial investment but can be beneficial in the long run for overall healthier hair without chemicals.
