Guess what I did this past week? I gave you a little hint on my Instagram feed, but in case you missed it, I took the NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice® challenge! I even created my own Instant Iced Coffee Recipes – Caramel Macchiato & Dark Mocha! And since I love it so much, I’m also giving away 10 – 7oz. jars of NESCAFÉ® coffee (see end of post)!

For this challenge, I received the cutest challenge kit – EVER! The kit came with a cute glass cup, spoon, recipe cards, NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice® stick pack, and a coupon for a 7oz. glass container of NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice® instant coffee. I loved the whole kit and couldn’t wait to get started on my new coffee routine.

NESCAFE Taster's Choice Challenge Kit

On my first day, I did a little research and learned that NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice® uses responsibly sourced beans to create 6 varieties of roasts and flavors. The beans are carefully roasted, brewed, and flash-frozen to lock in coffee freshness. Wow, I was thoroughly impressed. But how did it taste?

After learning about NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice®, I decided to move on to the challenge. I started with the French Roast stick packs from my kit. These convenient stick packs are now updated with more coffee to accommodate an 8oz. cup vs. the old 6oz. cup – perfect for my large coffee mugs! I literally dumped the coffee stick pack into my cup, added water, and stirred. No fancy coffee machine required and no need to drive to the local coffee shop for rich, smooth, amazing flavored coffee! LOVE!

By the last day of the challenge, I was experimenting and crafting my own coffee drinks using the NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice® House Blend container. The House Blend has a mild, smooth roast flavor that allowed me the freedom to adjust coffee flavors to everyone’s personal taste. For example, I like creamer with my coffee vs. coffee with my creamer (I’m talking to you, dear hubby). So when I make my instant iced coffee drinks (recipes below), I use more coffee scoops in my cup and less in the hubby’s cup.

*10/6/2016 Update – I’ve tried several different brands of Caramel Macchiato creamer and they are not all the same. The one I found the best is the generic Albertson brand. If using other brands, you may need to increase the amount to 4T or add sugar/caramel.

Now that I’ve completed the NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice® coffee challenge, I realize that I don’t need to wait in line at an expensive coffee shop for good coffee. I can make it myself at home and in an instant! And because I think you’ll enjoy instant coffee too, I’m giving away 10 NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice® House Blend jars! Just visit the NESCAFÉ® site by October 6, 2016 and answer the question below to win one of the jars! I bet you’ll fall in love with the well-crafted instant coffee flavor and fresh taste of NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice®. Try it! I dare you!

Visit the NESCAFÉ® Taster’s Choice® page and tell me something new you learned or what flavor(s) you want to try?

  1. I’ve been NESCAFE fan for years now but I didn’t know much about it. I learned that the most important part of their brew method is “the Bloom”. It’s the reason why their coffee has exceptional taste . I’d really love to try the NESCAFÉ Café de Olla and NESCAFÉ Taster’s Choice Vanilla Single Serve Packets. I’ve never tried them and they sound delicious

  2. wow this looks so yummy.. i’m honestly a coffee lover though, and i only have coffee once..(in the morning).. but seeing this yummy coffee blend makes me wanna try them..

  3. I’m in love with caramel macchiatos. I would love to be able to make them at home, but for some reason I completely fail at making coffees at home haha it’s horrible. I could never be a barista. Thank God there’s Starbucks.

  9. A lot of people are doing this challenge and have been loving the results. Nescafe is an awesome brand, although they specialize on instant coffee that doesn’t mean they sacrifice the quality and goodness of their products. Thanks for the recipes!

  10. I’m not a big coffee drinker, but your Caramel Macchiato looks so delicious and I’d really like to try it. My mother-in-law is a big instant coffee fan, have to share these recipes with her.

  11. The coffee-lover in me just loves these 2 iced-coffee recipes. I recently developed this appreciation for iced coffee drinks and your recipes are definitely something I’d try. Like what you said, there’s no need for fancy coffee machines – this is very encouraging, right? 🙂
