Zesty Soy & Mayo Dip Recipe
Great dip for chicken or vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, potato slices, artichoke, etc).
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Kikkoman soy sauce
- 1/2 -1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (1/2 tsp. for mild add more for added heat.)
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
Optional
- 2 Stalks chopped green onions
Directions

In a small sauce pan on medium low heat - add soy, pepper flakes, garlic, ground ginger, and 1T. of honey. Continuously stir and cook just until the sauce begins to thicken and coats the back of a spoon- the sauce will get thicker when cooled. You will be left with about 2-3 Tablespoons of sauce. Set aside to cool. |

When the sauce is cooled, add about a Tablespoon to the mayonnaise. Add in the onion powder, lemon juice, and remaining 1T. honey. Taste. If you prefer it with more salt or a bit sweeter, add more of each to adjust flavor. Add green onions right before serving. |
