Zesty Soy & Mayo Dip Recipe

Great dip for chicken or vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, potato slices, artichoke, etc).


  • 1/4 cup Kikkoman soy sauce
  • 1/2 -1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (1/2 tsp. for mild add more for added heat.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice


  • 2 Stalks chopped green onions


Step 1
In a small sauce pan on medium low heat - add soy, pepper flakes, garlic, ground ginger, and 1T. of honey. Continuously stir and cook just until the sauce begins to thicken and coats the back of a spoon- the sauce will get thicker when cooled. You will be left with about 2-3 Tablespoons of sauce. Set aside to cool.
Step 2
When the sauce is cooled, add about a Tablespoon to the mayonnaise. Add in the onion powder, lemon juice, and remaining 1T. honey. Taste. If you prefer it with more salt or a bit sweeter, add more of each to adjust flavor. Add green onions right before serving.
