Simple and deliciously moist Chocolate Kahlua Cupcakes.


  • 1 box Devil's Food Cake Mix
  • 1 box 3 oz. Hershey's instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 3 tablespoons Kahlua coffee liqueur
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (substitute with chopped pecans)


Step 1
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line cupcake baking pan with liners. Set aside.
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix and instant pudding. In a separate bowl, mix together sour cream, oil, Kahlua, eggs, and vanilla. Add to the cake mixture and combine well. Mix in the walnuts and chocolate chips just until combined. Fill cupcake liners with batter 3/4 full. Bake 20 minutes or until set. Let cool and serve OR frost.
