A quick and hearty chili that can be made in about 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1 Pound ground beef
- 1/2 Medium onion (chopped)
- 1 Package sausage or hot dogs (use your favorite sausage)
- 1 15.5 oz. can S&W Chili Beans
- 1 15.5 oz. can S&W Black Chili Beans
- 1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt (add more to taste)
- 6 - 8 bread bowls
- 1/2 cup shredded Mexican style 4 cheese blend (use your favorite cheese)
- sour cream (optional)
Note
This can be served over rice or as a hot dog topping. Omit the meats for a meatless meal and add your favorite vegetables.
Directions
Step 1 | |
In a large pot brown ground beef with onions. Drain excess fat. Add sliced sausage. Cook another 3 - 4 minutes. | |

Add in both cans of chili beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, and salt to taste. Heat until the liquids begin to boil, about 5 minutes. Turn off heat and set aside. | |
Step 3 | |
Cut off the tops of the bread bowls and hollow out. Leave about 1" on the sides and bottoms of the bread bowls. | |
Step 4 | |
Fill bowls with chili and top with cheese and sour cream. Serve. |
