Use up old bread in this baked burger. Recipes makes about 10 burger patties with a hint of a teri-burger flavor.
Ingredients
- 2lb ground beef
- 6 Slices cubed old bread (ends are good too)
- 1 Cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 Medium onion (1/2 grated and 1/2 minced)
- 1/2 Teaspoon kosher salt
- 2/3 cups Aloha soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoon mayonnaise
- 2 Cloves minced garlic (If using bottle garlic, use 2 heaping teaspoons)
- 2 Teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 Tablespoon brown sugar
- cooking spray
Note
Add your favorite burger toppings - lettuce, cheese, onions, pickles, tomatoes, and more.
If using only 1 pound of ground beef, reduce the ingredients in half.
Directions
Step 1 | |
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a large baking sheet with foil and spray with cooking spray/oil. Set the pan aside. Cube bread into 1" squares and add milk. Stir until the bread absorbs the milk. Scramble eggs and fold into the milk/bread mixture. Add all the remaining ingredients, except for the hamburger, and fold into the mix until well combined. The bread will break apart a little, but his is fine. Add this mixture into the ground beef. | |
Step 2 | |
Mix will be extremely 'wet'. Take a small baseball sized handful of the meat mix and place it on the lined foil pan. Shape into a large flat 5" -6" hamburger shape. Bake for 15 minutes, flip and bake for 5 more minutes. |
