Bathroom Cleaning Kit with Checklist #savewithbubblesIf you have kids, you’re probably familiar with messy bathrooms. I feel like I’m always in there cleaning up something, which is why I created a Cleaning Kit with a Printable Checklist. The checklist not only helps to make sure I give it a good top to bottom cleaning each week, it’s also a helpful list if others want to help pitch in too.

4 Kids, 1 Messy Bathroom

Yes, we’re looking at a real life photo here. Looking at that mess makes me want to shut the door. I swear a tornado spins through the kids’ bathroom on a daily basis. Almost every morning, I’m greeted with a floor full of clothes, towels, hair and various other items. It drives me crazy!

Scrubbing Bubble in-store imageTo create this Bathroom Cleaning Kit, I headed over to the Dollar General store to pick up cleaning products. I needed products that would do three main things: be multi-purpose, kill germs and make cleaning simple. Disinfectant Scrubbing Bubbles® Bathroom Cleaner and Scrubbing Bubbles® Multi Surface Bathroom Cleaner met all three of those requirements.

Putting It Together: Scrubbing Bubbles in basket

Place everything, except for the checklist, into the basket.

Laminate Bathroom Checklist

Print out the bathroom checklist onto heavy cardstock and cut to desired size. This is optional, but I opted to laminate my checklist at the local print center. Once laminated, cut the laminate to size and punch a hole in the upper left corner. Next, attach a loose leaf ring and hang it onto the bucket. Having a bathroom cleaning kit with a checklist makes cleaning up the bathroom a breeze. I love having everything I need in one container that I can tote to our two other bathrooms too. Now, I’m ready to tackle the bathroom and tackle the bathroom I did…

Scrubbing-Bubbles-Cleaning-Sinks

I had the kids pick everything off the floor and then the REAL cleaning began. To begin, I cleaned the sink. Apparently, my youngest daughter thought the bathroom sink was a good place to wash her hamster toys and clogged it with hamster bedding…ugh! I spared you the image of the sink filled with all the hamster goodness (you’re welcome), but can see the slight yellow tinge to the sink. To clean the sink, I used the Disinfectant Scrubbing Bubbles® Bathroom Cleaner because it can handle the tough messes and kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria*. All I had to do was shake the bottle well, spray onto the sink surface and allow the foam to penetrate the soap scum. I was easily able to rinse the foam off the chrome faucet and wipe the sink clean. Easy-peasy! Next, I cleaned the counter tops and toilet with the Scrubbing Bubbles® Multi Surface Bathroom Cleaner. I love that I only need one product for both areas. The fast-acting formula made cleaning so fast.

Glass Shower Door Before and After

The next big areas to tackle were the glass doors on the shower. I’ll admit that cleaning the shower doors is one of my least favorite things to do. Lucky for me, Scrubbing Bubbles® Bathroom Cleaner makes cleaning soap scum and hard water off glass easy. I was able to use the wide spray nozzle to cover the door with foam in about a minute! After a few minutes of letting the foam do its work, I wiped it off with a damp sponge and rinse thoroughly for a sparkling clean! You know that’s a plus in my book since it means less time cleaning and more time for the fun stuff in life.

  10. That’s the perfect checklist for me because I tend to clean a mess as I see them and never clean up from top to bottom!

    1. I do a good cleaning at least once a week, but I’d like to get my kids to pitch in more with the daily cleaning. They’re in middle school and high school, so I think it’s about time they learn the fine art of deep cleaning 🙂
