Zombie Fun – Easy DIY Terminus Walking Dead Party

Sponsored post: This post is sponsored by Oriental Trading but the content and opinions are my own.

Today is the day that I get to share an Easy DIY Terminus Walking Dead Party! We’re die-hard fans of the Walking Dead series and have been eagerly waiting for the October 23 premiere. And since my kids are too old for trick-or-treating, we’ve decided to do a Walking Dead party to celebrate the October season.

Terminus Walking Dead PartySince I like one-stop shopping, I headed to one of the best online places to shop for party supplies, Oriental Trading. I was easily able to find everything I needed for a Walking Dead party by typing in “zombies” into their search box and looking through their party tableware section.

Before shot of Walking Dead party area

To throw this party, these are the items I chose from Oriental Trading –

  • Zombie Party Tablecloth
  • Zombie Party Luncheon Napkins
  • Personalized Small Zombie Party Vinyl Banner
  • Zombie Table Decorations
  • Zombie Party Dessert Plates
  • Red Dinner Plates
  • Red Cups
  • Cutt-off Ear – used to create Daryl’s zombie ear necklace for wall decor
  • Gumball Eyes – placed in jar
  • Gummy Eyeballs – used in Bloodshot Eyeball Cupcakes

Terminus Walking Dead Party Set-up

Terminus Walking Dead Party

If you’re a Walking Dead fan, you’ll understand the custom Oriental Trade banner. If you don’t watch the show, let’s just say that the people in Terminus were cannibals and would lure people in with the promise of a place of sanctuary, only to butcher and eat them – gross! So the sign, bloody tablecloth, napkins, and red plates/cups totally set the perfect atmosphere for a place of dining horror, don’t you think?

Daryl's Zombie Ear Necklace

And since this is a Walking Dead party,  I HAD to add zombie elements. The zombie cut-outs, zombie dessert plates, and Daryl’s Zombie ear necklace (made with five ears glued to twine) made perfect additions to the party table. Last, I created Terminus food to mimic a feast made from humans – ribs, Jell-O brain mold, giant femur bones , blood punch, and bloodshot eyeball cupcakes.

Walking Dead Party Food

I can’t even tell you how much I enjoyed putting this party together. I loved the way this party turned out and plan on making this an annual party for every fall Walking Dead season premiere!

My best friend is obsessed with TWD! I’ve never even watched because I’m terrible when it comes to cable. One day (aka winter break or summer) I’ll check it out.

Well, I don’t think Zombies are disgusting but I am afraid of them, LOL! (they might eat me!) You did such a great job with this party! I know y’all had the most fun with planning, decorating and eating those eyeball cupcakes and Jello-O brain mold. I would have enjoyed a hearty helping of those ribs! The red and black makes an attractive party setting.
Oriental has everything for any party theme. I’m looking forward to planning my next party and shopping with them again!

Zombies are disgusting, but this party wasn’t really about the zombies. And yes, there are party themes for everything at Oriental Trading if you prefer something else.
